Description: 54 acres with several historic residential buildings, the circa 1810 hotel structure, along with 3 modern buildings, including the Jeffersonian style house that the historic architect Gibson Worsham designed and had built in 2000, that houses the current owners. Wilson creek headwaters come through the property and the buildings are surrounded by towering 200 plus year old hardwood trees. History: First settled by members of the Patton Scots-Irish traveler’s to the New River Valley, this hollow has hosted guests for hundreds of years. Virginia Polytechnical University traces its formation to meetings at “The Yellow” in 1870. Yellow Sulphur Springs was a premier “black” resort in the late 1920’s, and housed hundreds of transients during the Great Depression.
